HOW TO USE CHARCOAL WATER FILTERS?

What are natural water filters?

Before explaining how to use them, we think it is important to explain what these natural carbons are.

These natural carbons are natural water filters. That is to say that they allow the purification of tap water. They are mainly used to filter running water and give it a better taste. Through their adsorption power, they remove pollutants and toxic compounds (such as chlorine, pesticides, or copper) while adding more minerals to the water.

At Les Artistes Paris, we offer two types of natural charcoal water filters.

The Binchotan Carbon Filter

First of all, there is the Binchotan charcoal filter, which comes directly from Vietnam. Binchotan has been used for centuries in Asia. It comes from the Ubamegashi oak, also called Quercus Phillyraeoides: a dense, extremely hard, fibrous and mineral-rich wood that grows only in Asia. It is made from the carbonization of the wood by a slow combustion process at 1000°C and a cooling process that favors its porosity and thus makes the carbon active.

The Binchotan water filter is therefore 100% organic, it comes from an organic agriculture according to the Vinacontrol referential of Vietnam.

The French Bamboo Carbon Filter.

Then there is the French bamboo carbon filter. This 100% vegetable coal comes directly from French forests and is made with a traditional combustion.

It is 100% Made in France, recyclable and guaranteed BPA free.

Our advice for use

The use of our Binchotan and Bamboo charcoals is simple and fast, both charcoals require the same preparation. We are going to present you the 4 steps in order to use these water filters at best:

Step 1:

- In a saucepan, boil water. Once the water is boiling, plunge your Binchotan or Bamboo charcoal.

- Let the charcoal boil inside the pot for 5 to 10 minutes and then dry your charcoal.

Step 2:

- Fill your carafe with tap water and insert your charcoal

 Step 3:

- Let your charcoal filter the water! The longer you wait, the better your water will filter.

Step 4:

- Now all you have to do is consume filtered water that is healthy for your body as if you were drinking mineral water!

- Our carbons have a life span of 6 months. After 3 months of use, it is recommended to boil the charcoal again for 10 minutes to reactivate its properties.

Things to know

The charcoals do not only have the ability to filter water. Indeed, after use, they can be recycled to fertilize your plants, neutralize and alleviate the odors of shoes / or absorb moisture.

Even if the charcoal sticks break, they will keep their filtering properties and remain just as effective.

So, are you satisfied with our 100% French Binchotan and Bamboo natural charcoal water filters?
